Hello :) Just wanted to let you all know that I am basically still around. Work has been incredibly busy lately. I'm really burnt out to be honest, but there is so much opportunity right now, I am not going to turn away from what God has put before me right now. My faith builds each day and those around me have begun to see how Jesus is changing my life. Dealing with sexual habits of impurity are very important to me right now. I don't necessarily think that I will lose my salvation because I masterbate, but I am learning how my sin has caused damaged to my life and to the lives of others. This is a very long topic, and one that I'll not dig into. If anyone would like some information on sexual addiction, please post a reply and I'd be glad to start a new thread on it. The twins are great, though we certainly don't see as much of each other during the school year. They are very much my family though, and I have a secure feeling that their love is always there. My involvement in church and my own spiritual life is taking a new turn towards putting away my old life and trying to give of myself to other people. I spent so much time just trying to 'feel okay', that I completely missed every opportunity to touch other people's lives. You DO have to get your own life on track first....that's for sure. And that will only happen with a powerful faith in God and a trust that Jesus is the Lord of your life. I'll leave you with this scripture: Luke 9:24 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it. "Lose" here I believe is meant figuratively. Not actually DYING, but DYING to one's old life. That's how I am applying it anyway :) You are not alone. Your bro Ben |
