What, Sir, is your definition of honour?

Let's play "what if". What if you were teaching SS kids the definition of honour & with this experience you had, how would you explain it to them? This is the setting wherein I arrived at my explanation. I realize there are exceptions to the rule & feel yours was such a case.

Pardon me for not explaining who Hudson Taylor was -- A missionary to China who died about 1930 at the age of 85. Very successful in his work for the Lord & it was of grave importance to him to get the approval of both sets of parents before his marriage.

No, this world is not my home for I'm just a passing through & the sooner I reach the other shore the better I'll like it. I'm pleased that you could detect that in me. As for as my childhood goes, my parents were God fearing, peace loving, law abiding citizens & of the highest caliber & to which I am duty bound to obtain; therefore, I cannot imagine "parents" asking a child (one under 21) to do that which is wrong, especially, forbidden in the 10 Commandments. It goes so far as this. One said his mother knew he's queer & she didn't care. I called his hand or called both of them liars for by reason of the definition of the word, MOTHER, they knew better. With you being in this world, is it possible, Sir, they didn't know?

I would like to hear your response with the above question. BTW, I'm a girl & do call me Ma'am vs Sir! Have a good day.
