I disagree with you... You see, I'm a student. I'm at the age where I could be considered a YF or an AF. But you know what, I think it's GREAT when teachers are part of my personal life. Especially my music teachers! I've excelled in Music all my life. So, I am obviously closest to the music teachers. I went to both my band and choir directors house in high school and same in college. I mean that's personal. This is both in public High school and private college. On the other end, I'm a camp counselor and I visit my campers. Stay the night. Nothings really thought of it. I go to their plays but I also get myself into their lives. Spend the night. I know it's a little different. I wouldn't SPEND the night... but if I were invited to a Bday party, I'd GO IN A SECOND! I mean they invited you RIGHT? I say go for it. If they invite you to do stuff go with it. That's what I say. Who cares what others say. But you do have to cover your butt. So I suggest never going out with only one student alone. If you go out for coffee or something, go with multiples. I just talked to my math teacher who is going to a former students wedding this summer. So WHY can't we? Talk to you guys later Huck |
