My, you have been applying yourself to the take-home readings :) I just started off with the positive biblical arguments, but you're bringing up all the others as well! The genetic argument is important because it addresses the frustratingly oft heard claim that "I must be Good because God made me this way and God doesn't make trash". I pull my hair out every time I hear that. God did not "make you that way"! He made a world, of which you are part, which was good but has become bent. Some parts of it are very good, some parts are not. How do we distinguish between the too? And if, as you say, some part turns out to be "bent" (yes, I borrowed the phrase off C.S.
