Well, the testimony of several members of (another website - no reason to name it) has been that they always love their yf, ever afterward.

It does show an advantage of not getting sexual (even in a hypothetical permissive world). One person on that site had a young teen religious missionary come around to his apartment, and when the boy noticed some boy-themed artwork on the wall, the conversation took a turn. He confessed he'd always dreamed about meeting a pedophile and basically moved in with the man shortly afterward. But when he turned 17 or 18 the man uncontrollably lost his sexual attraction, which led to great sadness on the young man's part. Unfortunately this was just at the time in history when a sad young gay man could go out in a fit of frustration and have reckless sex with various people and catch a deadly disease, which the young man did. Though he's a long term survivor and is still looked after and cared for by the man, it's not the happiest of stories.

You don't need to go through any of this, you can just love him as you always did.
