It is true that we are a new creation when we are in Christ. And it is true that eventually we will all become this new creation that God see's every time he looks at us. However, while some people have been able to change their sexual attraction, quite a few have not been able to do so. It is not for lack of trying or for lack of faith, it just has not happened for them. I know...I am one of those people. Sometimes God will heal a person and sometimes He will not, we don't know why. For those of us who must deal with being gay or BL or anything else, we can be assured that we are still children of God and very much loved by Him. We can also do our best to live our lives in ways that we know are pleasing to Him. I wrote about this a little in my recent devotional. Another thing to think about...while murder and theft and lying are all things that require a decision to take a specific action, being gay is not. A gay person can decide to commit a sin, but no one ever decides to be gay or not to be gay..it just doesn't work that way.
