I think the word "minor" is kind of insulting to young people. It makes it sound like boys (and girls) are less important than so-called "adults". Well, even a cursory reading of the Bible would show that it works the other way around in God's world! All the most important people in the Bible began their work as children. And Jesus said, "Unless you receive the kingdom of God like a little child, you cannot enter it". So I think God cares for children a lot more than people do. Children are untainted versions of humanity; they don't carry all the baggage that adults have. But that is exactly why kids need to be treated with care and respect, because they are trusting and innocent. So the reason why it is a wonderful thing to love them, is the same reason why it is a terrible sin to take advantage of them, I think. (People tend to think that love and lust are similar, because the modern world has confused the concepts, but in reality, love and lust are as different as day and night. However, not all sexual desires are necessarily lustful, either).

Just for the record, I tend to think the whole concept of "adulthood" is a myth. Grown-up people just PRETEND to know what they're doing, a lot of the time, it seems to me. At least, I know a lot of boys who are more adept at behaving themselves than our two presidential candidates are!!! Ha!
