I believe we are three dimensional beings living in a higher dimensional universe. We only get a small glimpse of what really exists. Think of chemistry. On the chair you are sitting on is a an array of atoms and between those atoms is empty space. Who would have thought that? When we look at a chair we see a solid chair. Our truth is there is no space, yet upon further investigation, there appears to be a great deal of space in the chair you are sitting on. If we went back in time without an electron microscope, how could we convince the people there is a great deal of space in everything we see?

I think we are in the dark regding many things. Indeed, science has "opened" our eyes on many issues, yet some of these ideas could be wrong. They explain things for now. For example, there was the Geocentric Model of the Universe and the people believed the earth was the center. Everyone believed this! It made sense. The sun, the moon, the stars go around us as we stand on earth. Then came Aristarcus who suggested the heliocentric (sun centered) model because MATHEMATICALLY it was more pleasing. Later, Copernicus took hold of the idea and the Heliocentric model won out! Paradigms are always falling! Our view of the world is always changing. What we believe to be true now may be proven untrue in the future.

I believe we really are in the dark on many issues. I truly believe we are three dimensional beings in a much higher dimensional universe. We only see a small glipse of the truth. I suggest a book called Flatland which gives insights into what I mean by our NOT seeing the whole picture. It talks about a two dimensional land, Flatland, and the creatures there and the amazement when a three dimensional being comes and visits them. It's a short book. Check it out!
