Christian - 1 a person professing belief in Jesus as the Christ, or in the religion based on the teachings of Jesus 2 [Colloq.] a decent, respectable person Pedophile - a person having pedophilia Pedophilia - an abnormal condition in which an adult has a sexual desire for children Put 'em together! Simple. =) We're all sinners... Duh! Just because we live in sin, doesn't mean that we are not God's children... Jesus died to save us, didn't he? We should try to better ourselves, but we will never be perfect... Or even come very close. Accept the flaws of humanity, and move on. Desires of the flesh? Who said we did? I live by the desires of my heart. If I am sexually attracted to a boy, and therefore have an unusually strong desire to befriend him, to show him love and kindness, then I must abstain? Such desires are sinful, are they? Not in my book. Misdeeds of the body? The physical expression of love for another is hardly a misdeed. If you really believe that crap, I suggest that you remove your offending body parts... It should cool your desires... I am a believer... But, it's a safe bet that I don't believe as you do. What exactly ARE these 'evil' desires of the flesh, of which you speak? I must agree... Pedophilia, as described by Websters is of the flesh... But it may be a by-product of a different type of desire... Ask yourself if you want to use a young body to gratify yourself, or if you want to hold them, protect them & love them.... Die? I die if I live by my desires? The desire to lover others? The desire to love God? Absolutely EVERYTHING we do in life is done out of selfish desire. Just try to dispute that. Hmm... Indulging desires, fantasies and cravings... (quote: A: Ya know, when you think about it, there's a lot to be said for just playin' with yourself.) Jesus was free of lust... Jesus was the son of God. I'm not anywhere near his level, and neither are you... It is foolish to think that you can rid yourself of sin in this life... We are what we are... Imperfect. Yeah, I'd be tempted... And it is difficult to resist temptation... I can't say for sure that I could resist... But, I don't know that I couldn't, either. We can't really blame ourselves for all of our thoughts... It's a chemical reaction, that we can't always control. Acting on impure thoughts is another matter; we CAN control that. I haven't read much of the bible, so I must ask a question... Did Jesus say(supposedly) that a mere random thought was wrong, or might he have meant that to purposefully think such things was wrong? Pedophilia is a condition, it is not an activity to be engaged in at will... I agree that it is wrong to follow the ache in one's groin... But, I can not feel the same about following the ache in one's heart. I would say that the heart is a gateway to the soul... Sprite. If we remember nothing else we should remember this: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. |
