One is to say that what you've outlined of your revelation is, I believe, the doctrine of 'Monism' - which is the underpinning of Hindu and Buddhist theology (and usually leads to reincarnation, with Nirvana defined as the melting of the soul into God). It's not the Christian world view, and I have little way to take that argument any further! Second a quote from the ship of fools discussion on being born again: "To be born again is to go from being bad to good, or from being self-centered to being God-centered, or from being natural-minded to being spiritual-minded, or from being materialistic to not being materialistic. Jesus was summing up the whole point of religion: That people repent and obey the Word of God." I need to let the rest of what you wrote sink in for a bit to see if I can work out a decent response; but thanks for making the effort - I always value reading what others believe. |
