Geez, this is a really hard one for me, but to remain silent is as sinful as to offend someone. One of the hardest fights of Christianity comes from the fact that Christianity reveals facts, be they true or untrue, that are in direct conflict with other religions. Jesus said in Matthew 7:14, "But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." And in John 14:6 he said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Whether we like it or not, there is sufficient evidence in the NT to support other religions (such as Islam) being erroneous and potentially deceptive. This is incidentally TOTALLY aside from the perversion of Islam that has caused terror and destruction in the recent world. I believe that Islam stands for peace and love, and that most muslims (and probably all true ones) are peaceable people. But I don't see a way that Islam and Christianity are BOTH true. This is not MY judgement, nor is it something that causes me to not love muslim people. But I can't invent a way out of the fact that Jesus said that HE is the way. What can I do then? I can tell the truth, that I believe that Jesus represented truth and God in the full. I can love and accept people, while still standing by the truth that I believe in. Furthermore, I can hope that God will save everyone. He certainly has the power to do so and being the loving God that he is, he probably will. I apologize in advance if I am offending anyone.
