Sally, i'm not as shallow as you presume. my now ex-girlfriend was beautiful to me because she was gorgeous, intelligent, and had a very sweet personality. there aren't many like her, and that's what grabbed my interest and made me want to pursue a relationship with her. my first fiancee was also a beautiful person though i was hardly sexually attracted to her. she was the "ugliest" of my girlfriends. she was a very intelligent Christian woman who i could talk to about anything. we studied the Bible together, prayed together, went everywhere together. we talked about how many children we were going to have and how we'd raise them. we went to church together, went to pre-marriage counseling together, and picked out our wedding rings together. she was not "beautiful" (to me) on the outside, but she was wonderfully beautiful on the inside (though she did break our trust). that's what i meant. and "being a boylover" i don't pay as much attention to women as boys -- the desire is not as great to befriend a woman as it is to talk to a boy. women have to be "beautiful" to catch my interest. if i'm not caught by a woman's physical beauty (the hook), it'll be her personality (and the way she talks with me) that will grab me next (the line), and then her depth of Bible knowledge and love for the Lord that will totally win me over (the sinker). at 30 years old, there are fewer and fewer of these types left who haven't already been married and started a family. and i'm definitely not looking forward to dealing with any baggage that comes along with a woman who is divorced and already has children. i've been there and it's tough.

Thanks Nate & Jules for understanding. It's tough finding the right person (boylover or not), and then when you think you've found that person, it's heartbreaking when it ends. I've been here before, and this one isn't as bad as the last, so I'll be okay. I'm just not sure if I should be looking anymore. I'll give that over to God to do for me. :)
