I think that you people need to realize where AIW is coming from. He has seen the human carnage left behind in the communities he identifies with thanks to the more extreme views of your fellow believers. In his activist days he has seen with his own eyes the attempts of fundamentalist Christians to deny funding for HIV patients, mobilize to rescind laws that incluse gays in civil rights and hate crimes ordinances, deny gay couples the same financial and legal advantages and benefits that heterosexual married couples receive, and has seen concerted efforts by you people to invade the public schools' sex ed curriculums with your unrealistic abstinence-only programs; which denies information about safe(r) sex to gay boys, potentially condemning them to dying from a horriblr disease. The more vocal blowhards in your fold even try to censor TV networks with your incessant letter-writing campaigns and threats of sponsor boycotts. Witness the imbroglio ober Nickelodeon TV's "Nick News" segment about gay youth that Falwell, et. al. has his drawers all atwist over. A radical activist from the old school has found a large segment of your community the enemy, and with justifiable reason. No one has a problem with your faith or your spiritual beliefs, until you stop keeping them to yourself and start using them to impact on others' lives negatively. There's nothing wrong with Christianity or Christ's message, it just belongs in church, not in the halls of government or the educational system.
