Many of the major protests happened (and continue to happen) overseas in countries that could care less if the President of the US is republican or democrat since they dont follow US politics and dont really know much if anything about the two major parties of the US.

eeeeeeeeeerrrrrrt!!! WRONG

They know full well that Bush is the son of Pappa Bush. They know from watching liberal media in their country that he is a devout Christian, and that he is very conservative. They practically protested when he won the election. Especially over in the UK. Many of my UK friends were telling me how screwed the world was because a conservative was back in office.

This can be proven by the FACT that the world didn't protest Clinton's military actions in Kosavo, Haiti, or Iraq; all without UN approval. In fact, if Clinton was doing this, there would be hardly anything said at all.

What they know about Bush is based only on the things he has said and done and on the image his administration has projected.

Nope, they know what their liberal media tell them. I have watched European news services over satellite and they all report on Bush as if he is Satan himself.

If Bush's actions have somehow managed to evoke such hatred that everything he does from now on is tainted in the eyes of these people, thats a different story. But that would be a consequence of the actions he has taken, not a prejudice based on political affiliation.

Wrong again. Like I said, they hated the man the second they heard his name. If you could only see the European coverage of the 2000 election. They practically were cheering on Gore.

Furthermore, protesters are at the extreme end of those opposed to war, even if what you claim were true, the point of view of these extremists is not necessarily indicative of the point of view of those who oppose this war as a whole.

I will concede that point. Some who oppose the war are uninformed, brainwashed, or just a hippie past their time. :-P

However, one cannot oppose this war because they do not wish to see lives lost. This is because Every year more people die in Iraq under Saddam than did in the entire Gulf War. It only takes simple math to conclude that this war will save millions of Iraqi lives, that plus the thousands of lives that Saddam could take out through terror.

As the LIBERAL (who has thrown his political career away for the sake of peace) Tony Blair puts it, inaction would be FAR graver than action, for EVERYONE.

BTW, it appears that all the doubters were right. It looks like this war is going to be horrendous, and that many many innocent civilians are going to die.................. right......... Oh wait! They think they killed Saddam with the very first strike...... =:-O Holy COW we kick major asp.

In fun,

RF
