Then email me that response.

Its gone, I had no reason to save it, I had typed it on here and then just deleted it rather than hit post. I dont feel like rewriting it either. If you want to discuss this you'll have to catch up with me sometime on IM. You know how to reach me.

If you like science fiction to get political views, try Star Wars. I don't think the rebels won by sitting peacefully and singing kumbiya.

Thats an action flick in the old western style. There arent lessons to be learned there, it isnt allegorical (its not even literature for that matter, its film).

Anti-war protesters are not, "anti-violence". They said nothing when Clinton bombed Iraq, Kosovo, ect. They are simply anti-Bush. They will hate every thing he does, no matter what.

While this may be the attitude of some anti-war protesters it certainly isnt the attitude of all anti-war protesters. Many of the major protests happened (and continue to happen) overseas in countries that could care less if the President of the US is republican or democrat since they dont follow US politics and dont really know much if anything about the two major parties of the US. What they know about Bush is based only on the things he has said and done and on the image his administration has projected. Therefore, this isnt a party afiliation issue. If Bush's actions have somehow managed to evoke such hatred that everything he does from now on is tainted in the eyes of these people, thats a different story. But that would be a consequence of the actions he has taken, not a prejudice based on political affiliation. Furthermore, protesters are at the extreme end of those opposed to war, even if what you claim were true, the point of view of these extremists is not necessarily indicative of the point of view of those who oppose this war as a whole.
