Hi Triple Q,

I respect your opinion and I'm not writing this as a slam against your thoughts or opinions at all. Rather, it might be seen as a "slam" against the organised Churches everywhere that treat us badly or with little or no attempt to understand us.

God does not exclusively exist only in church. He also (and more importantly) exists within our hearts. This is His real "home", within us Christians. We are NOT saved by attending any church, but by accepting Jesus Christ into our lives. And any church-going person should know this as a fact! We ARE NOT saved by the way we act (i.e. acting straight...), nor by changing something within ourselves in an attempt to somehow "be good enough" for God to love us and give us salvation. We are ONLY able to obtain salvation by accepting it as the free gift that it is, and believing that Jesus is, in fact, Lord.

I know that you probably already know this stuff but I just wonder how many heterosexual (or still-in-the-closet homosexuals and boylovers) are aware of this. It is the one, basic, simple fact that is the foundation of the Christian faith. And yet so many church-going Christians seem to be fairly comfortable in ignoring it.

I feel very bad for gays, boylovers, lesbians, etc, who feel turned away from the church because of this huge error that so many churches are making. However, I feel more sorry for these churches when Jesus DOES come back and see's just what is going on. (Actually, I am sure He already knows what is going on.) Yes indeed, we may be boylovers and gays and lesbians, but above all else, we are people! And Jesus died for our sins just as much as He did anyone else's. And when we become Christians, God starts to do His work in our lives just the same as anyone else. But try to get some of these churches to believe this!

And that is my opinion.

Your brother in Christ,
Chris
