...it's not a matter of SGITNW not being opposed in his views. It's a matter of choosing battles wisely. SGITNW is adamant in his stance and I've seen people like him before (ref: Josh at RDC). People like SGITNW can't be opposed because of the simple fact that find nothing wrong with their viewpoints no matter how idiotic they may seem to others and no amount of discussion is ever going to change the way they think. It's not even a matter of whether or not you are a demon because you are a homosexual. You should know by now that we don't think that you are. The only reason we don't jump in and say "SGITNW, you are wrong" is because it won't make a difference to him and he will keep on saying the same things because that is what he was taught to do. Much like an ape imitating human behavior, he is only mimicking what he sees around him with no clear and rational pattern of thought as to why he thinks the way he does. And, much like an ape, no matter how many new tricks he learns, he will always revert back to his initial tricks when left to his own devices. I spent months trying to make Josh understand that his way of thinking was wrong. When he finally did leave, it was with the same ideals that he came in with. The truth is that we all want to think that we can change the way people think...but, truthfully, the only people we can change is those who are willing to. SGITNW isn't willing. But that's just my opinion...and you are welcome to your own. Btw, hate doesn't grow simply because we ignore it. It grows because the world is a breeding ground for it. If you were to change SGITNW's mind today, there will be dozens more waiting to take his place...and continue spreading the hate. You should know. You run BC. Has all the posts opposing the "haters" at BC ever changed a single "bad apple"? I think not. |
