Mark - I've often thought about the whole idea of boys wanting sex. When I was 11 or 12, I began masterbating and certainly wanted, very badly, to have an orgasm. In hearing stories about others who had an experience with an older man when they were boys, I can hear in their stories that same exact desire or need that anyone who is in the heat of passion feels. To a young boy, who has no previous experience with orgasm, I would argue that they learn, very early on, to associate satisfying that need with the situation that satisfies it. For me, I found that baby oil and thoughts about boys in my class satisfied my desire. For other boys, the desire was satisfied by a man masterbating or fellating them. I began a very long adult life that relied on baby oil and images of cute 11 year old boys to relieve me, and I believe that many men go back to the experience that they learned would relieve them. As we mature, a true sense of love and desire evolves in conjunction with that original experience, leading one to become gay or BL. This is certainly a behaviorist theory and it is one based on MY experience, not on others. So, I don't presume that it is the only possible explanation for why boys truly can desire sex with a man. But I would argue that, had the same 'need' been satisfied in the context of a female, the boy could possibly become heterosexual at that pivotal time in their life. In terms of homosexual acts being a sin, it seems that the bible is pretty clear on this: Leviticus 18:22 Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable. Romans 1:27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. I guess if you don't accept the bible, then you can debate the existence of any sin in general. You are not alone. Ben |
