its been a little while...

since i dropped in here. good to see lots of familiar faces, and a few new ones too. i went to see a YF last week. due to the nature of my life and his, we cannot keep in contact, so i try to get up to his neck of the woods to see him once a year. to my surprise, i found him in juvenile group home this year. it took me a few days to track him down. but, i eventually found out where they were keeping him, and showed up. i made my way into the house, and actually got a few words in edgewise to him as they were removing me from the premises! *hehe* (; he thought it was hilariously funny... as did i.... heehe anyway, i later talked to him on the phone. he was glad to hear from me, and being locked up sucks for him. it was hard for me too, i have seen it coming literally for a few years now. the hardest part, was that he wants to come live with me when he gets out next summer. i know, you are thinking, how is that hard? well, i live a pretty nomadic life... and i dont know if he could handle it, let alone if i could support him.... (he will be almost legal then, but not quite yet...) besides, there is the real possibility he could not handle my rural lifestyle (politely known as being a redneck, he is a pretty big city boy...)but i am gonnna think and pray, and see what happens. my girlfriend has been taking my recent revelation very well. she told me a day or two ago, that it greatly helped that i was very open with her about it all, and didnt try to hide it. *sigh of relief* things are okay, but still pretty tense with us.... she wants to get married, but i dont....oh well, lift it up to the lord, and see what He says about all this... well, if ya got any thoughts about my YF, or if anyone out there has lived with or supported a yf who is almost an adult, i would appreciate insight. see ya scott |
