Wow, don't you ask the hard questions!! My history is some way down the board - a past incident and over 10 years celibacy since. Most of the rest of us from the items on the board I've seen are probably equally commited to living without sexual contact with boys - who are the people to whom we are attracted - a fact that we are either miserable about or use to give our relationships with boys a depth that can be a blessing to them. Christianity is about forgiveness - we all make mistakes - but God has provided a way for the legitimate demands of justice and his desire to forgive to be resolved in the death of Jesus on the cross. That our sins happen to be particularly unfashionable in this generation is a feature of our lives down here - but certainly I only bother to continue to live in the expectation that I will live for ever with God; only that makes sense of my life. Hope that helps and makes sense - it is always good to meet someone who is seeking truth - may you find God real in your life very soon. |
