Pure and Impure

The way it was usually presented to me "impure" meant virtually anything sexual. Purity was seen as being "spiritual" and on a higher plane.....going back again to the notion that sexual was, if not evil, about as close to it as you could get.

"But if I was lusting in a homosexual way, then by the time the Catholic Church removed all the impurities I'd have no thoughts left."

Yes, and that seemed to be just the way many in the Church would have it. Don't think, just obey.
