Our very own Judeo-Christian society used to let children as young as 12 marry not only their peers but adults too. In America in living memory, rock star Jerry Lee Lewis (is that his name?) married a 14 year old (do you consider 14 year olds to be adults or children?)

"That commandment was for everyone that intends to have sex!"

Only Adam and Eve existed at the time the commandment was given. How, then, could it apply to anyone else?

Further, the commandment does not allow any scope for personal choice. God is commanding "be fruitful and multiply", therefore He is saying "you must have sex now". And He is saying it to Adam and Eve only. If it applied to all mankind, Jesus would have had to marry to have sex so he could "be fruitful and multiply".
