The question of why suffering and pain exist is one I've never discovered a truly satisfactory answer to. Perhaps though, it has to do with freedom to choose. I think the existence of suffering stems from darkness, from evil, from death, from fear, from indifference. Yet without darkness, evil, death, fear and indifference, how could we choose light, goodness, life and love? ---Ford |
