God's love abounds and abounds abundantly; I welcome the opportunity to share, answer any questions I can. Yours are not without merit and thanks for not "attacking" me; your scholorly approach is a breath of fresh air. I understand how quoting scripture can be a deterrant to those on BC now, but even those who claimed to have a dislike for the Bible admited it didn't wholly offend them. And I see that you are don't frequent this board that often, so I welcome the opportunity to welcome you as well.

The Bible is not unlike other religious texts, but how do you account for the fact that it remains the biggest book victim of the commandment "thou shalt not steal"? Why a book that spans 5000 years of history and was written in three languages has such harmony between its pages? To me, there is no "potential" about what the Bible speaks; its message is clear. It is God's sacred loveletter, and we cannot expect to understnad God's love without reading it, using it, and living by it.

I simply wanted to share that love with others. I am a big fan of abba father, God's persona as "daddy". If my witness "riles your bones," then I leave you to your beliefs and understanding, but I am bound by scripture to share God in the best way I know how. What better an example to follow than the story-telling approach Jesus used. The story I shared, BTW, is based on fact. I note things in daily life, God inspires me, or I am reminded of, a verse, an act and that is how I spread the Good News. It is up to each to decide if he wants to accept or believe in what God has offered in eternal life.

Please note that not all of my BC posts have religious overtones to them. You'll find in the oldposts section several threads like this one that invite more traditional BC conversation/discussion.

In Him,
Dunston
