In just the last few months I have starting hanging out with my first YF, and it is wonderful. I love him so much. But I have been dreading that, as he gets older, I may find that love fading. And that would tear me up inside, because I'd know that it wasn't real love ... that it was just a product of my infatuation with youth. But your words are encouraging. I hope, for me, too, that I will still love him just as much (if not more) as the years go by and he becomes the Godly man I am praying he will become.
