I guess your experience has been far more noble than mine. I basically looked at boys and wanted them to be friends with me to fulfill my needs, and lusted after their bodies - pretty much straightforward selfishness. Defintely not a gift of God. Guess you got a different brand, if you are indeed being totally honest...
