Can a Christian Live outside God's Will?

I wanted my first Topic to be an interesting one,,,,that would provoke thought. Can A Christian Live Outside God's Will? "When I was a child,,,,I thought as a child and spoke as a child,,,,," When I was a young Christian,,,,,My answer was,,,undoubtably "YES!" All you had to do,,,,,was go your own way,,,,,,live your life your way,,,and not God's. So,,,I spent many hours praying that I would be shown God's Will for my life,,,,,That I would surrender to that Will,,,and that I would serve God according to His Will. Through the years,,,,Walking with God,,,,,I have discovered a Mystery. Hindsight always being better than foresight,,,,,,,,looking back to times when I was sure I was walking outside of God's Will,,,,,,that I was taking my own path,,,,,,I discovered,,,,that I was exactly where God wanted me to be all the time. So this led me to meditate on God's Word,,,,,and I discovered,,,,,,that the examples that God placed in His Word,,,,,,who tried to go their own way,,,and not God's,,,,,,never succeeded. They always ended up right where God wanted them, all along. Now,,,they went through tribualtions that they wouldn't have otherwise had to go through,,,,but the end result,,,,was that they were where God wanted them,,,,doing what God wanted them to do. Prime example of this is "JONAH". My question is simple,,,,,,,,Although the answers may not be! Can we actually not do God's Will,,,,,,Once we have given HIM our lives? Before you say,,,,"FREE WILL!" We have Free Will before we accept Christ as personal Saviour and LORD. Once we surrender to HIM being our LORD,,,,,we no longer have FREE WILL. Christ is the LORD of our lives. Being LORD,,,means He is Master. We are servants. As servants we no longer have Free Will. God says we are His children,,,,,and that He chasteneth every child He loves. Which means,,,,,,If we stray too far,,,,He is going to pull us back in. So again,,,He is saying that we will be on His path,,,,not our own. My life has had many twists and turns,,,,,,,but looking back with Hind sight,,,,,,It has always had God's hand on it. I am where I am,,,,,,,as a direct consequence of God's hand on my life. His hand has always been there,,,,,even when I was very bad,,,,,,,,even when I thought I was going my own way,,,,,,,satisfing the desires of my heart,,,instead of His perfect WILL. Looking back,,,,,I was always right where God wanted me to be. So,,,,I don't think,,,,,A Christian,,,,can stay outside of God's Will,,,,,,,I believe,,,,,even if you rebel,,,,He will pull you back in! What do you think????????????????????? |
