Hi J,

I am so glad to see you are comming in here and posting and participating a lot! I have found CBLF to be very helpful to me, regardless of any kind of problem I might be experiencing in life (and I have had a "few"!), regardless of my mood, or anything really. It does help a lot.

Thank you so much for your insight on the band "Sevendust". I kind of thought that they weren't really a Christian band but the titles of thier songs are quite misleading. You know what I think? It looks like an example of how satan is trying to masqurade as God, if you will. It looks like he has influenced this band to try to look like a Christian band. Insideous but hardly supprising, although I wonder how many kids will be fooled by this kind of thing. This is just another reason why we need so very much to stay in contact with other believers and keep our prayer lives strong. Jesus has already overcome this world but we still must follow Him to become overcomers with Him.

Anyway, thank you for your informed reply to my post about celibacy, also. I agree with you whole-heartedly that God fashioned Eve as a companion for Adam because He did not want Adam (or man as a whole, for that matter...) to be alone. And yes, He intended for them to have a close and loving sexual relationship with one another as well. (Oh, and by the way, thank you for explaining the meaning of words like "haoth"...I love that kind of thing, personally. Words are fascinating to me.)

Ok, so now I think we quite logicaly come to the question,"If we are not meant to be alone, and God wishes us to have a close and personal relationship with another person (and "woman" is the correct Biblical person with whom God intends a man to have this with...), then what about those of us who cannot do this because we are attracted to something else entirely?" At least I think that might be the next thought or question to come to mind. I will be very interested to see what you think about this, but here are some of my thoughts on this question.

First of all we MUST accept the fact that niether the Bible, nor the science of man has been able to explain the "how" about our differant orientation. I know that thier are theories galore on both sides of the fence but they still remain just that, a theory and nothing more. But this dosen't help us to find peace, does it...or does it? You know, there are many things in this universe that man will probably NEVER be completely informed about. Man is not an infinately knowlegable creature, and in this life he isn't "designed" to be. God does have knowlege of literally all things because He personally created all things. So, as far as the "how" about our differing orientation is concerned, the way I see it, if God wants us to know this, eventually we will. If He does not, we MUST trust His infinate wisdom in this. And I think this also applies to the "why" of our orientaion as well.

Consider Paul when he was so very concerned about a "thorn in his flesh". God told him that His grace was sufficient for him. And I believe that this same answer applies to us as well. Ok, enough of all that for now....

The librarian is looking concerned about my time on this computer so I must go for now. Take care, J, I am so glad that you are here! I am praying for you! God Bless!!!

Love in Christ Jesus,
Chris
