Hi Jules, I don't believe we can remove ANY temptation. I believe that we can change our sexual attractions, though. I believe that what we think of as sexual orientation is probably strong addiction. From the Bible I think that it is clear that sexual orientations can change. Such WERE some of you, says Paul, indicating that they ARE NOT anymore. They WERE many things one of which was "abusers of themselves with mankind." I like that King James way of putting it. Abusers of themselves. They are hurting themselves. That which King James interprets "abusers of themselves with mankind" Strongs tells us is this word: 733 arsenokoites {ar-sen-ok-oy'-tace} Now if a homosexual can change so that Paul says, "That is what you some of you WERE, but now you ARE washed and sanctified and justified," why would that sanctifying and justifying washing not also be available to the pedophile. Is it available to the thief and the drunkard and all other sinners but not to the pedophiles? Why not? sally sally@paraklesis.com |
