'Young Friend'

Hi guys. I've got a question, the answer to which might seem obvious to most of you. What is the "exact" definition of "Young Friend"? Does it mean any kid you are simply friends with, nothing more? In this case I would also wonder what your definition of "friend" is. Several regulars in this forum mention their YF's in posts - to me it seems that to those people, the definition "Young Friend" is more than "just" a friend, but something deeper - a close relationship more like younger and older brother. Assuming that "Young Friend" means a close friendship/relationship, is it possible to have more than one "Young Friend"? Obviously in real life, if one is dating he or she should not go out and flirt with other people. But if you define YF as being in a similar relationship to the boyfriend/girlfriend analogy, then you "should not" have more than one YF (note the parentheses, meaning it is ambiguous). However, this is probably an extreme interpretation of YF. I suspect the real definition lies somewhere between good friend and close friend, in the same sense we would be using those terms with our "regular" friends. For the lucky few who have a special relationship with a kid that transcends friendship, a term other than YF might be more appropriate.

Love to hear your opinions. God bless!

Genghis
