| To show the birth/life of Jesus from a different perspective. The problem is that he comes from a point of view that compares God to just any 'older man'. Phrased the way he did, most of us would agree with his statements. It would be different if he hadnt failed to mention that "knocked up" in this sense included no sexual contact, that angels revealed to the couple the divinity and higher purpose of their illegitimate child, that Jesus performed many miracles and spoke with the authority of God, etc... He has taken a much different situation vaguely resembling the story of Jesus, and expects us to agree with his views on Jesus by agreeing with this very thinly related fictional perspective on things. |
