The biggest stuggle between the Catholic church and protestantism has been the power structure. Whereas there are bishops of various power all the way up to the Pope, then Mary, THEN you reach Jesus.

It was not even allowed, for some time in the Catholic Church, for unsanctioned people to even read the Bible by themselves.

Judaism and Christianity, well, it's pretty much just in the belief or nonbelief that Jesus was the Son of God.
