For the older ones among us

I feel that discovering the online bl community was an important part of coming to terms with my feelings. Prior to this I thought that I was the only person who felt like I do. I figured I was the only sane pedophile and all others were exactly what the media portrays. At the same time I kind of resigned myself to the dark fate that lay ahead of me (that I would go on to become a child molester some day and Id molest as many children as possible before being caught and going to jail). I figured that's what pedophiles are and thats what pedophiles do, and Im a pedophile, so thats my fate. I was determined to delay my fate as long as possible, but I always felt thats what would happen some day.

Theres much more to my story of coming to terms with my feelings, however thats not what this post was about. The bottom line is that finding other boylovers whom I could relate to was an important part of the process of acceptance. My question, which Id like to ask all of you older folks who came of age prior to the advent of the internet is, how did you come to terms with your feelings? How has the coming of the internet and the rise of the online bl community changed your life? Is it a positive or a negative thing? How do your feelings and your life in general now compare to how it used to be prior to discovering the bl community?

Im looking forward to finding out more from you wiser folks among us. Anyone old enough to have reached their 30's before finding out about the online bl community, please feel free to respond.
