Hi Ron, I have been folloeing the progress of the differant threads of discussion you have been involved with. The questions you have raised in this one have caused me to want to write. Although it is true that NAMBLA is protected by the first Amendment, and so they can (and do) say anything thier hearts desire, it is my hope they will eventually cease to exist as an organization. I do not see the things they are doing to be at all helpful or beneficial to our community. While it may be true that "up front" they are against things like corporal punishment, it is also painfully true that thier name keeps popping up in connection with the most terrible crimes imaginable. Crimes against our most precious resource....children. And we are not talking about taking away the kid's candy bar here, we are talking about murder and rape!!! I am almost in tears thinking about this. Perhaps it is true that NAMBLA does not directly instruc it's members in methods of raping innocent children. Maybe they don't try to show them how to do it and get away with it....I cannot say for sure because I am legally banned from visiting thier web site or obtaining any of thier literature (which dosen't break my heart, believe me!). But I am sure that dosen't mean much to the parents of abused children, and it really dosen't mean much to me, either. There is no lack of imagination in the minds of people who have experienced as much social repression as "Boylovers" or "Pedophiles". I would love to ask NAMBLA exactly what they have in mind when they lobby for changes in the age of concent laws. I'm sorry, but to do that, and then say, "But we aren't promoting rape and murder. We didnt think that would happen." dosen't cut the mustard with me. And I hope it won't fly with the rest of humanity, either. I have to confess, before you came in here, I knew nothing about Jeffery Curley or Jesse Dirkhising. I guess that with all of the problems I have had in my own life lately, a whole lot of the news has gone over my head. But I did a little search yesterday online, and the stuff I came up with was bad....So Bad!!! I almost could not beleive my own eyes while I read it. ...Oh God in Heaven! There were some stories that wer5e even worse than the ones I was looking for. I must go for now but6 will continue this tomorrow...the library is closing... In Christ's Love, Chris |
