Nice post. I agree with the majority of what you wrote. You obviously put a lot of thought into it. I'm wondering something though. You seem to accept as axiomatic that a "one night stand" or sex without love would be harmful. How do you draw that conclusion? I've had sex within committed, loving relationships and I've had one-night stands and even anonymous sex. Hell, I've had anonymous, group sex with more than a dozen partners at a time. While recreational sex doesn't compare in the quality of intensity to sex with a loved partner, it can still be pretty darn fun and exciting. Why would you think that something like that would be wrong or harmful? Assume that the people involved know how to protect their health, of course , and will not expose themselves to AIDS or some other dangerous disease vector. Jim |
