What is your view?

What I would really like to know is the Scriptural position others hold on the issue of sexual involvement with boys.

There are a number of theoretical positions. These two are just the more obvious ones that come to mind after reading some of the other posts.

1) Agree that we have a problem and need to fight against it.

2) Claim that we don't have a problem and try to rationalize it.

As stated before, I have changed my views recently to accept that simply loving a boy, or being attracted to a boy is not sinful. What I still feel strongly about is the behavior aspect. I believe sexual behavior has to be controlled.

By the Grace of God, I have never had any kind of sexual involvement with any of the boys who were my friends over the years. I intend never to do so, with God's help. I believe it would be sinful and wrong to do so. I realize that it is possible to fall into temptation. And I believe there is forgiveness as long as we are repentant for our wrong actions. So, I'm not condemning anyone who has fallen, and then gotten up again. I've fallen in plenty of other ways. But we have to be repentant for a wrong course. That means we have to recognize the Scriptural standard and acknowledge when we come short of it.

It seems to me that the best thing we can do for each other is to share the Scriptural methods we have each used to "fight the good fight." I'm sure we have each had struggles in which we have been successful and can share some of the things that have helped us. We've each had failures too, and can share the lessons we learned from those failures.

Please tell me what you think.
