| I am tring to chip away at it, but it is like tring to chip away at marble using tools designed to shape play dough. Yesterday I spent the better part of the day looking up info on the effects of divorce on kids and not having a dad around. Really scary stuff, the kids become 5x more likely to commit suicide, boys are 9x more likely to become rapists, 12x more likely not to finish HS. I could go on and on. She wouldn't even read it. If I can't get her to read something that bears directly on the kids, I doubt I will be able to get her to look here or at Open Hands. Right now I get the feeling that she is so intent of vengence and revenge that she doesn't care what sort of collateral damage she causes. She went through 12 years of Catholic school, but I guess to her the words of the Our Father were just that, words. "Forgive us our Trespasses, as we forgive those who have trespassed against us." I am trying to forgive her for her anger towards me and turn the other cheek, but it is hard, so hard not to get angry when she seems intent on taking away all that is near and dear to my heart. |
