the experience left me emotionally scarred, wholly independent of ANY Christian input. As I result I came extremely isolated in my early teens; I went to my new school with the intention of not making friends - I believe that that deeply unhelpful choice was made as a result of that emotional scar.

One person's testimony - but as it chimes with the experiences of many others, I believe it has substantial validity...
