i believe in the bible and believe that sin is wrong, but i believe acceptions can be made and that God is the only one who can make those acceptions.

Have you ever considered reading biblical passages which the fundamentalists would never dare to quote?

"Everyone who loves is born of God and knows God."

1 John 4:7... so, love itself is never wrong - luckily, in this forum, none I've seen will quite quibble this. Others will...

"Why is my freedom judged by another's conscience? If I partake with thankfulness, why am I slandered concerning that for which I give thanks? Whether, then, you eat or drink or WHATEVER YOU DO, do all to the glory of God."

1 Cor 10:29-31

I won't quote it here - Romans 14. All of it.

"It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery."
Galatians 5:1

"For the WHOLE law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself."

Galatians 5:14

"Love does no wrong to a neighbor; love therefore is the fulfillment of the law."

Romans 13:10

And at the root of it all...

"Woe to you teachers of the Law! For you weigh men down with burdens hard to bear, which you yourselves would not touch with one of your fingers!"

Luke 11:45

...but, if ever such were stopped - if ever burdens were not lain upon all save those who feel so Godly, because such burdens are not theirs - if ever the verses above became known, then self-gratifying certainty that one is, truly, holier than one's fellow being would be lost...

...and they would no longer hold the place of honor at banquets, nor the pulpit of the churches.

...and they would no longer enjoy being called "preacher" and a "godly and righteous man" by the world.

...and they would no longer have great honor and show of their outward faith, nor the commendations of those who seek honor of this world.

...and this, they will not do.

Matt 23:1-36.
