Saying that "God gave me these feelings, he gave me the means with which to use it and enjoy my life, yet I cannot go about achieving this desire because it is wrong (i.e. homosexual sex) is, to me, the same as saying, "My Dad gave me this lollipop, he told me to eat it, he patted me on the head and smiled as he gave it to me because he knows how much I like lollipops, but I cannot eat it because eating lollipops is WRONG." Now really, isn't this pure silliness? You are taking it out of context. For this analogy to work, I would have to be saying that SEX is wrong. Sex is a gift from God, indeed. However it is a PRECIOUS gift, meant for a man and woman to unite as one body. A special gift for a husband and wife to share. To correct your analogy, to engage in homosexual activity would be the same as taking that lollipop your father gave you and cleaning the bottom of your shoes with it. You see, it is taken the gift of sex, and perverting it. Basically telling God, "I don't want to use it how you intended it to be used, I'm going to do something else with it, and cheapen it. It is not because of someone's personal teachings, or some sect of scholars that Christians know what sin is. It is through studying the Word of God, and witnessing that which is life. Scientific studies have shown that a lifetime of anal sex is not exactly healthy. Do you think God would have made it this way, had He intended for males to couple with males? Look at our friggin anatomy, for crying out loud. God has more than clearly laid out His intentions. Romans 6:12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. 6:13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
