thanks Ben, There's too much that I would like to say for one post, so I'll address a few of "your comments" here first .... and post a further reply, after I have meditated more deeply, on your thoughts ;) The interesting thing for me, is that the very same QUESTions have come up on my own search for "GOD". My answers however, will not be your answers. I do find it useful to think on your particular thoughts. They evoke many concepts, which have come out......into my consciousness as a result of this particular discussion. As far as the "limitation" that Christianity places on the world population...ie: the only "WAY" is through Jesus. I believe that we need to consider the context... the time and place in history, that these words were spoken. Jesus was speaking to a specific group of people and not to the world population.... "past", "present" and "future". I really wonder about about the salvation of those who were not touched by the words of "Jesus Christ" Do YOU think that GOD has forsaken everyone who has not passed "through" Jesus Christ? I'm sure there's a very neat Christian answer for that, however I know that many Christians who have been concerned for their "long dead" heathen brethren. Should we not be concerned about those who lived on this earth, before the word of Jesus? I don't buy any pat "Grandfather" clause which may have been evoked, to "Save" them after the fact. heh My reference to the Bible was perhaps unclear, because I was thinking in the terms of the "Old Testament" as a history of the world starting with Adam & Eve and Abraham, who is the Father of Islam, the Jews and the Christians. So The Old Testament is not the "exclusive" property of Christianity. Basically the New Testament is the story of Jesus and the beginning of Christianity. That's my personal reference, in a nutshell. I meant nothing more than this, in my previous comments. Please let me know if you would like further thoughts on this. I'm with you on the idea of serving "GOD". You Are Not Alone in following this important journey ... and I believe, if we all joined in the celebration of our personal "God connection" and we realized that we "All One" in the eyes of God, then this world and the people in it, would be in a much better situation today. I'm not going to present any supportive "arguments" at this time.... other than the fact that "God" .... (or whatever label you feel most comfortable with) is the "Creator" and all things come from him and we are "OF" him. In other words .... we are inseparable from him, until we no longer exist. Only God has the power to uncreate us, so to speak. An interesting parallel is to observe the laws of physics, which are known today..... and were not known, in the days of Jesus. Hence my reference to Metaphysics, which obeys the laws of "energy" (and physics)..... no-thing can be created nor destroyed (by man... or nature, for that matter). Yet God created it ALL, and we are part of his ultimate creation. Within metaphysics, we can however "alter" the flow and effects of "energy".... ie: the "stuff" that comprises matter and energy. Even thoughts and "mental image pictures" are a form of energy. We have the ability to "transmute" out thoughts, our concepts and out behavior patterns, to some degree. Therefore, with God's direction, it is possible to change our "focus" on certain habits and desires ie: sexual desire for Boys.... and to "RE-DIRECT" this energy towards another "higher" purpose. This also "Works" with varoius addictions we may have for food, smoking, alcohol or other drugs. I know from my own personal experience that it's true (for me). I also know it is true for other people, who have grasped and applied the concept o f "the perpetual transmission and transmutation of energy". It's simple, but not easy, unless you have 100% committment to a higher purpose, such as "GOD". Epilogue :) I want to explain that particular terms in quotations " ", are not finite definitions, but only labels for ideas such as "GOD", as a means to communicate concepts, which for lack of a better description have to suffice, until further discussion takes place. Ben, I am trying to explain why I understand, how your search for God, has helped you to redirect your desire to masturbate and fantasize about Boys. If it makes you feel better to redirect your focus and "energy", then... IT IS GOOD! Perhaps in time, you will loose all desire to masturbate because of your predeliction of Boys. I believe it is quite possible, however your Love of Boys will not disappear, IMO. It has been my experience, that "loving Boys" will never go away... It is my experience that "loving Boys" is an inate part of my being... It has been my experience to have a beautiful Boyish Spirit... turn me on my head and remind me that HE is a creation of GOD. I must say that, it is a marvelous revelation.... to be reminded of this particular "predisposition" ;) It is always possible to be "turned back" and re-focus your attention on some of the MOST BEAUTIFUL creatures, that GOD has ever created and WE, are here to Praise God for ALL of his wonderful Creations... Especially BOYS!!! heh For the Love of God tks p.s. if you think that this is going way off topic, then perhaps we can arrange further discussion via e-mail or IRC. I'm sure there are several common contacts who would be willing to assist in the exchange of e-mail addresses. for anyone who wants to throw their comments in, please do. I am supportive of The teaching of Jesus and am interested in further discussion, along this line. |
