Mark - I'm glad to know that you have accepted yourself as someone who is good and who has worth, not some evil monster. I spent over two years on boychat, and it changed my life in this very same way. I overcame an entire lifetime of shame and self hate, and had the chance to hook up with some other BLs in real life along the way. One of them I have kept in touch with since the first day we met. We have gone on vacation together and hung out at each other's houses. Even though we are in some disagreement about Christianity, he remains a friend who I know that I can trust. He and others helped me to learn to love myself. I actually do believe that some boys could handle a sexual relationship and still turn out okay. These boys are in a high minority however. Most boys who claim to be in consentual relationships are in them because of a need for a man in their life and the willingness to give up their own bodies in exchange for the love and companionship. Adam and I have talked about his own view on this. I disagree with his conclusion of feeling cheated because he did not get the relationship that he needed. In respect for his privacy I wont share his intimate details of what happened in his life and why I believe that his conclusion is incorrect. My point though is that there may be isolated cases where intergenerational sex is socially (though not legally acceptable). The problem is that, just like homosexuality, sex between men and boys is sinful in the EXACT same way that homosexual sex is sinful. It may even be that an orientation other than heterosexuality is a 'perversion' in the pure sense of the word (since it is not exactly as God intended it). But God has a wonderful way of turning all things in our lives, good and bad, into something Godly. Our orientation is a challenge, but it certainly is not evil or bad. You are not alone. Ben |
