I don't know whether the board has already dealed with this issue, or if I will get a big negative responce from it... but I really want to know how everyone stands. Exerpt from my last post- "...scriptures apply equally to everyone. We all sin, and all sins are equal in the eyes of God. Stealing, lying, committing sexual immoral acts and even killing; and we will all have to account for our sins. But Jesus died for all of us… the pedophiles, murderers, thieves, liars etc. I just want to say, that homosexuality is wrong, no matter what age group. The way society has made it somewhat acceptable, is what keeps people from realizing that they need help. We are just like alcoholics and compulsive gamblers. It’s a sinful lifestyle that we need to turn around. I believe that God gave everyone of us a certain gift, a love for children. We need to turn that love into something God can use. “Leviticus18 verse 22: 'Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable. ' ” There’s probably a whole lot more scriptures where God states that it is wrong. If you keep denying it to yourself, you will never find forgivenss. With each-others help we can overcome this obstacle." Ok, so why did I re-post all that? Well it all boils down to, if you think its wrong or not. I know that God dosen't like what I use to be like, and what I occasionally am. But I know I am wrong, and I try to correct myself. Rex's reply really got to me- "...a powerless God who needs to rely on the charity of men in order for the Divine Will to find form. I should like to think that God is capable of helping me in my hours of need directly without the need of a human mediator. To think that I could be languishing for the want of a willing human being... Seems to me the way you tell it, God is like an aspiring actor looking for a break." God has a plan for all of us. God works through people... "human mediators" are God at work. God can not simply come down and be with you, as he was with Moses on the mountain. When people come to realize that God is working in a particular part of their life, and join in... that’s when miracles happen. I don't know, I'm probably just rambling on here, but I think God can use every one of you "Boy Lovers" to do the will of God. Teachers, youth pastors, mentors, boy scout leaders, camp counselors and many more; these are all people who have a genuine love for children. Sometimes we mistake that love for something it is not. Me must learn to turn it around good and for God. I want to make it very clear that homosexuality in any form is wrong. I'm not a stone thrower here, because I am guilty too. But I genuinely want to turn my life around and I hope you do too. ~ TJ |
