When God said "be fruitful and multiply" he was speaking to Adam, not to man in general. If God's words were a "commandment" for all mankind you can be sure that Jesus would have married and had children, because Jesus kept all of God's commandments. Therefore marriage is NOT for everyone. Indeed, Jesus himself said that some do not marry for the sake of the Kingdom of Heaven. Children in OUR society do not marry. However, there are societies in the world today, and throughout history, which allow children to marry not only each other, but adults. While I am not offering this fact to justify adult/child sex (I am opposed to it), it is offered to enlighten your ignorance of marriage customs and practices. Peace be with you Rex Infinity |
