Re: Boylove in general

armenta, Thanks for coming in and for expressing your concern. As many have already indicated here, there is a presumption that 'boylove' is a term for a particular act. Homosexual acts (including those with boys) are not normally a topic on this board (any more than heterosexual acts would be discussed on any Christian discussion forum). Most of the boylovers here (myself included) would oppose any such acts because they are counter biblical. There may be a few exceptions but I'm not aware of them. As for the morality of boylove itself, it is unlikely that the existence of attraction to boys could be viewed as immoral for a few reasons. Jesus spoke clearly about love: John 13:34 A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. Notice that Jesus does not indicate some restrictions on who we should love, nor does he address a prohibition to love those who one might be attracted to. Love in itself cannot be immoral. Certainly boylove does carry certain struggles and temptations which, like heterosexual temptations are part of all human sinful nature: 1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. In this passage, Paul makes it clear that all of us are tempted, and no temptation is so unique that it somehow falls into a higher category than another temptation. Finally, bear in mind that Jesus involved himself with women, to help them and to minister to them. Presuming that Jesus was heterosexual, we conclude that Jesus loved women who he may have been tempted to lust after. Jesus loved women who he may actually have been attracted to. This clearly shows that loving someone who you are attracted to is not sinful. It is only when sexual acts become involved that the debate widens.
