AKA,

2. "...does that mean I'm saved?" Actually bro, it goes deeper than that. Anybody can believe in Christ's death and resurrection. But to be saved, one must:

acknowledge that they are a sinner,

repent of those sins,

and ask Christ to be their Lord and Saviour.

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus."
--Romans 6:23

Because of our sin--which we can never repay--our ultimate punishment is death and eternity in Hades (hell). But for those who accept God's gift (that is, accepting Christ as Saviour) we can live eternally in heaven with Jesus. It really is a gift, but we must choose whether or not to take it.
