We always believe our own value system to be the highest... but it's so not.

What can seem disgusting to me may be someone else's normal... just like my normal is no dobut disgusting to some others.

Sure there will be things that really upset us... but for me these things just remind me that the human race overall is bound in sin and so needful of a saviour.

Would I be any different to the next guy if I'd had his life and circumstances and oppertunities... I don't think I would.

Even for the most holy man with the cleanest life... Jesus still needed to die becuase his sin was unacceptable to God.... what chance have I got to not be disgusting?

I took the moral high ground once, not so long ago either, when I found that a person I thought was a committed Christian became pregnat out of wedlock. I only had to look at myself for two seconds to realise what a total hypocrite I was being. Since then I've taken the view.... if God is going to show mercy to me He can show mercy to anyone.

None of us desrve that mercy... lets just be grateful for it and leave the judging up to God.
