Hi LonelyJ I am new to this group, and you are the first person I have responded to. Your letter bought tears to my eyes, I know how you feel living within a Society which reject who you are. You wrote in your poem "Each passing year I grow more solemn and bitter" While I understand this reaction and would not criticise anyone for it, as Christians we must hold each other up. My thoughts went to Christ, who not unlike ourselves, but for differnt reasons, was rejected by the Society in which he lived. On occasions he was lonely, he was rejected - but was not bitter. I'm not sure if it is possible to avoid such a human response to this situation, perhaps others will share their thoughts on it, but I do know you are not alone. A poet wrote: If all were easy, if all were bright Where would the cross be, and where the fight? But in the hardness, God gives to you chances of proving that you are true. I can not control what people think about me, so I try not to waste to much energy to it, at the end of the day God is my Judge not them. This short life-span is nothing when considered against eternity. I agree with you "O LORD, you are my only hope." You are in my prayers damien I am going to introduce myself a bit to the group, if you care to read my post it may help you to know where I am coming from. |
