Marriage of convenience

The situation: Im a bl who is not attracted to women. I have a female friend who due to other circumstances does not wish to be married and is in love with me and well aware of my situation. We are very close and consider each other best friends. She wants to have children but does not want to be married, I want to have children but am incapable of marriage. So, the subject has come up of a marriage or cohabitation of convenience. A union whose purpose would be solely to raise the children we both want. The idea seems perfect yet fraught with danger (what if she met someone else who was able to love her and she wanted to go off with that person, where would that leave me?). Even with this danger though, it may be my only hope for having a family, and sometimes when we want something we have to take risks. Both I and the other person are aware of the risks (though she claims she would never leave me) and aware of what we would be getting into and the fact that once that came about our children would have to come first. Opinions please? |
