ben, i've been sitting here for about 20 minutes tring to figure out how to reply to your post.i hope this makes sense. in order to determine if "boylove" is a sin we need to determine the differance between a temptation and a sin. the mere fact that we are attracted to boys is not a sin, its a temptation, and there is nothing we can do to prevent the temptation.(jm correct me on this if i'm wrong).the Bible says "when tempted, knowone should say God is tempting me," it doesn't say "if tempted." its what you do after the temptation that counts. because of this, masturbation and fantasizing are clearly sins. why? it has to do with lust. which by the way the term "boylove" would be better phrased "boylust". the only reason this forum exists is because most of the men here are sexually attractd to boys, otherwise we'd all be called mentors. now you made a remark that sometimes the temptation to fantasize is to great and you know you'll give into it. i want to encourage you that this is not Gods view but rather satans view. satan wants you to think that he can tempt to such a degree that you have to sin or that you can't resist would be a better way of putting it. if you think you can't resist why fight it, right. but God saya differtly. in I Chor. 10:13 it reads "there hath no teptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, Who will not suffer you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but will with the temptation also make a way to escape that ye may be able to bear it." this says to me that God will not allow satan to tempt me with something that i don't have the strength or the resolve to resist. so the next time your tempted to fantasize and masturbate, or the next time your tempted by anything for that matter, take courage my friend because God has already given you His vote of confidence. well , i hope this made sense thanks, borg |
